U2 Tops Forbes List of Highest Paid Musicians; Plot to Rob, Murder Joss Stone Foiled

Forbes magazine has released a new list of the 25 highest-paid musicians. The numbers are based on income from May 2010 through May 2011, less tour production costs and agent and manager fees. U2 leads the pack with $195 million earned. Rounding out the Top 10 in descending order are Bon Jovi ($125 million), Elton John ($100 million), Lady Gaga ($90 million)

Aerosmith Back in Studio for Long-Delayed Album

Now that Steven Tyler has finished his successful first season as a judge on "American Idol," he is returning to his day job with Aerosmith.
The singer and his four bandmates plan to reunite next month with veteran producer Jack Douglas to kick-start work on their long-delayed album, guitarist Joe Perry said on Tuesday.

Yesterday (June 7), two weeks before its scheduled debut, June 28, Beyoncé's fourth studio album, "4," leaked. Today (June 8), Beyoncé took to Facebook to address the leak. "My music was leaked and while this is not how I wanted to present my new songs, I appreciate the positive response from my fans. When I record music I always think about my fans singing every note and dancing to every beat. Adele's '21' to Return to No. 1 on Billboard 200

Adele's "21" album is headed back to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart next week, as Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" will likely slip to No. 2 after two weeks leading the tally.
If "21" returns to the top, it will mark the tenth non-consecutive week at No. 1 for the album. The British singer's set has yet to leave the top three positions of the chart since its debut on the list dated March 12 -- 15 weeks ago. It's still too early to tell how either Adele or Gaga will sell this week.

M magazine has compiled a list of the top-earning teen celebrities. Miley Cyrus tops the list at an estimated net worth of $120 million. Remember Miley started in the business from 2001, compare to Justin, 2009.

MTV Plans Lady Gaga Documentary; McGraw Spars with Record Label

In other Lady Gaga news: On May 26, MTV will air her hour-long documentary, “Lady Gaga: Inside the Outside.” The show features an interview that reveals events in her life that helped shape her career in music. The set’s title track reached Number One in the U.S. and many other countries around the world.

17-year-old Scotty McCreery is this year’sAmerican Idol winner. The Garner, North Carolina native beat out 16-year-old Lauren Alaina from Rossville, Georgia. Both singers will pursue a career in Country music. A record 122 million votes were cast by viewers following Scotty and Lauren’s final performances on May 24.

New Super 8 Promo Arrives

We might have to wait until August to see what JJ Abrams has unleashed on a small Ohio town in Super 8, but those lucky types across the pond get to watch it next week. X-Men : First Class 12A Reviews

Cast: Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence. I’m not a great fan of the comic book genre though I’ve always enjoyed the X-Men series. And this one is a really good and entertaining film that stands up on its own, even if you have never seen any of the previous in the franchise.
